Septic tank pumping and cleaning in Lubbock, done right

We provide septic pumping and cleaning for residential and commercial properties in Lubbock, Smyer and surrounding areas. We vacuum the tank to the floor, check the baffles and lids, and haul the waste to a licensed facility. Most homes need pumping every 3 to 4 years; commercial intervals depend on the system and its use. Call to discuss your property and service needs.

Tick what you are seeing at the house

Nobody remembers their last pump-out. Your drains do.

Signs your tank is full

What we find

Cracked lids let rain, dirt and rodents into the tank. Tick the last box if yours look like this.

The difference

Pumping or cleaning? What you are paying for

A tank has three layers. Sludge sits on the bottom, scum floats on top and liquid sits in between. Pumping only the liquid is how a tank looks empty and fails a year later.

A proper septic tank cleaning in Lubbock means more than that. We vacuum the sludge and the scum along with the liquid, all the way to the floor of the tank. Then we check the baffles, the inlet and outlet pipes, the walls and the lids.

That is the job Duckies does on every visit. When we finish, the walls are clean and the outlet is clear, and you can see the outlet and the baffle for yourself.

During the visit

What a complete pump-out looks like

Thirty to sixty minutes for most residential tanks. Here is where the time goes.

01

Find and open the tank

We locate the lids, dig to them if there is no riser, and measure the sludge and scum layers with a probe. If the sludge is within a few inches of the outlet, it is overdue no matter the date.

02

Vacuum everything out

Sludge on the bottom, scum on top, liquid in between. Pumping only the liquid is how a tank looks empty and fails a year later. Ours comes out to the floor.

03

Inspect what is left

Baffles, inlet and outlet pipes, tank walls, lids. This is where we catch a cracked outlet or a rotted baffle before it clogs the drain field, which costs many times more than a pump-out.

04

Close up, haul off and document

Lids back on, yard put back, and waste taken to a licensed disposal facility. We record the service for future maintenance planning. Ask about before-and-after photos for your service visit.

This is one of our tanks after the vacuum ran. You can see the outlet and the baffle. That is the point of the inspection: if we cannot see it, we cannot check it.

Price

You get the number before the truck moves

Every tank, lid and driveway is different, so there is no price list on this site. There is a price on the phone, and it does not change in the yard.

01

The price, on the phone

Tell us where the tank is and its size if you know it. You get the price, on the phone, before the truck moves.

02

Nothing added without a yes

If the open tank shows something else, we show you, quote it, and wait for your answer.

Risers and lids

Stop paying to dig up your own yard

A riser brings the tank lid up to grade. Installing one saves time and saves money on digging fees every pump-out after this one.

Preventive septic maintenance

A pump-out is a good time to look at the rest of the system: sludge and scum levels, baffles, outlet filters, lids and risers. We record the condition and pumping history so you know when the next service is due. See septic system maintenance.

Questions

Questions about septic pumping

Every 3 to 4 years for a typical Lubbock home. Pump sooner if you notice slow drains, odors, or standing water near the drain field. Larger households, garbage disposals and older tanks need it more often.

Yes. Tank size, location and lid access set the price you get on the phone, before the truck moves. Digging to buried lids and after-hours calls are quoted up front too. The price does not change in the yard.

The sludge rises to the outlet pipe and solids flow into the drain field. The soil clogs, wastewater surfaces in the yard or backs up into the house, and the fix is a new drain field instead of a pump-out.

Thirty to sixty minutes for most residential tanks once the lids are open. Locating and digging add time, which is why we recommend a riser.

We provide service year round, but frozen ground, heavy rain and access conditions may affect scheduling. Call for emergency service, including after hours; arrival depends on conditions, your location and availability.

Cracked walls, damaged baffles and clogged inlet or outlet pipes cause early failure. Catching them during a pump-out is a small repair. Finding them after the drain field fails is a big one.
